WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield is an Illinois Home Rule municipality
exercising home rule powers pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 0 -96 -38 adopted November 4, 1996, the
Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield authorized an acquisition of property within the
Corporate limits of Deerfield through condemnation or otherwise; and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property and the Village have negotiated a contract
for the purchase of 625 Deerfield Road, a copy of which is attached and made a part of this
Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES. ILLINOIS:
SECTION That the purchase price for 625 Deerfield Road in the aniount of
ONE: $338,000 is hereby approved.
SECTION That Special Counsel Joseph Morrison is hereby authorized to take all
TWO: steps necessary to complete said purchase and to assure that proper
title is vested in the Village of Deerfield.
SECTION The the Mayor and Village Clerk of Deerfield are authorized to
THREE: execute all documents on behalf of the Village necessary to
complete said purchase.
SECTION That the Village Manager of Deerfield is hereby authorized to take any
FOUR: steps necessary to fully effectuate the terms and conditions of the
purchase of said property.
