1954RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield are responsible for the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Village of Deerfield; AND WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield are�charged with providing adequate municipal services consistent with financial ability; AND WHEREAS, the Trustees of the Village of Deerfield wish to provide its citizens with adequate municipal services consistent with the Village's financial ability; BED AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Trustees of the Village of Deerfield that effective this date, there will be no further extensions of municipal services to areas outside the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield; BE, AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that only those municipal services now provided to areas outside the corporate limits of the Village of Deerfield may continue until such time as the Board of Trustees may determine it is to the best interest of the Village of Deerfield to stop providing such services to unincorporated areas, BE, AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution of Policy shall in no way affect present contracts with other municipal corporations. Schneider President of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Illinois Commerce Commission did, on January 19, 1954, direct withdrawal of bus service between the Village of Deerfield and the City of Highland Park by the Highland Coach Lines, Inc., due to faulty conditions of equipment; and WHEREAS, the Illinois Commerce Commission by its Citation Order No. 41500 has ordered the Highland Coach Lines, Inc. to appear for a hearing at 10:00 A. M., February 11, 1954, to show cause why an order should not be entered revolking and cancelling its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity; and WHEREAS, two petitioners, the Glenview Bus Company, Inc, and the Deerfield- Highland Park Transit, Inc., have appeared before the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield indicating their proposed routes, schedules and fares. NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois as follows: (1) That the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield favors the revocation-of the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity held by Highland Coach Lines, Inc. by the Illinois Commerce Commission. WHEREAS the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, has been authorized to issue $160,000 Sewerage Revenue Bonds, in accordance with the provisions of an ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE authorizing and providing for the issue of $160,000 Sewerage Revenue Bonds of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, for the purpose of defraying part of the cost of improving and extending the existing sewerage system'of said Village, prescribing all the details of said bonds, and providing for the collection, segregation and distribution of the revenue of the sewerage system of said Village for the purpose of paying the cost of the operation and maintenance thereof, providing for an adequate depreciation fund there- for, and paying the principal and interest of said Sewerage Revenue Bonds," adopted by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village on the 26th day of October, 1954; and WHEREAS bids have been received -for the purchase of said bonds and John Nuveen & Company and Dean Witter & Company is the highest and-:best bidder for said bonds, and said purchaser has agreed to accept delivery of said bonds bearing a lesser rate of interest than three and three - fourths per cent (33/4%), as provided in and by said ordinance hereinabove referred to, and it is deemed advisable and in the interests of the Village that said bonds be issued.at the rate provided for in and by the bid of said purchaser; and WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of said ordinance here- inabove referred to authorizing the issuance of said bonds, the Presidelt and Board of Trustees has agreed tM adopt a resolution directing the officers of the Village to execute and deliver said bonds to the purchaser bearing interest at the rate or rates specified by the bidder, to wi.t: Bonds maturing � L in the years 1956 to 1966, inclusive, at the rate of three percent'(3 /.)' per annum, and bonds maturing in the years 1967 to 1975, inclusive, at the rate of two and three - fourths percent (2 3/47o) per annum, and also to designate the paying agent for said bonds, that has been mutually agreed upon by and between the Village and the purchaser, and it is also necessary to confirm sale of said bonds to said purchaser; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It and It'Is Hereby Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, as follows: Section 1. That the sale of the $160,000 Sewerage Revenue Bonds of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, to John Nuveen & Company and Dean Witter & Company, in accordance with the terms of their contract, be and the same is in all respects ratified and confirmed. Section 2. That the 6fficials of said Village be and they are hereby ordered and directed to have said bonds printed for delivery to said purchaser bearing the rates of interest specified herein, as io.Llows: Bonds maturing in the years 1956 to 1966, inclusive, at the rate of three percent (3%) per annum, and bonds maturing in the years 1957 to 1975, inclusive, at the rate of two and three - fourths percent (2 3/47.) per annum, and upon the execution of said bonds they shall be deposited with the Treasurer of said Village and by him delivered to the purchaser upon receipt of the purchase price in accordance with the terms of the bid of the purchaser heretofore accepted by this President and Board of Trustees. Section 3. That said bonds be and they are hereby made payable at American National Bank and Trust Company, Chicago, and in the execution of said bonds said officials shall make provision for payment of said bonds at said bank, as herein provided. VOTE: AYES: Dicus, Engelhard, King, Meyer (4) NAYS: None (0) RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF $160,000 SEWERAGE REVENUE BONDS Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, Lake County, Illinois, that: The offer of John Nuveen & Company and Dean Witter & Company, dated November 8, 1954 to purchase the $160,000 Sewerage Revenue Bonds of the Village authorized by an ordinance passed by the President and Board of Trustees October 26, 1954, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, is the most advantageous offer received by the village; and the said offer is hereby accepted by the Village of Ir Deerfield. The President and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute such bonds and to deliver them to the order of the said John Nuveen & Company and Dean Witter &.
