A RESOLUTION INDICATING THAT
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD WILL
FOLLOW THE FCC REGULATIONS
IN ADMINISTERING BASIC CABLE
SERVICE RATES FOR CABLE TELEVISION.
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has become a Certified
Franchising Authority pursuant to the Cable Television Consumer
Protection and Competition Act of 1992, and the subsequent FCC
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Act and regulations require Certified
Franchising Authorities to adopt regulations consistent with the
commission's regulations for Basic Cable Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, that it will follow the regulations established by the
FCC in the administration of Basic Cable Service Rates.
