RESOLUTION NO. R -93- 0 2
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois is a municipality exercising Home
Rule Powers pursuant to the constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has previously adopted an Ordinance known
as "The Deerfield Zoning Ordinance of 1978 ", (the "Zoning Ordinance "); and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance provides for the division of the Village into
zoning districts of various character, number, shape and area as are best suited to effect
the purposes set forth in the said Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, on February 19, 1979, the Village of Deerfield adopted a
Comprehensive Plan (the "Comprehensive Plan ") setting forth planning and zoning goals for
properties within the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the area depicted in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part
hereof is included in the I -1 Office Research, Restricted Industry District; and
WHEREAS, land use and real estate market conditions in the area of said
property have changed since its rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION That a moratorium be declared on the acceptance of petitions
ONE: seeking map amendments and /or zoning variations .for the property
depicted on Exhibit A, pending receipt of a report and
recommendation from the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield with respect to
establishing a Possible Development Area in conformity with the goals and objectives of
the Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION That following preparation and submission of the Village Staff
TWO: proposals, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield conduct
a hearing to consider the issues described in Section One and
thereafter, furnish its recommendation with respect thereto, to the Corporate Authorities.

SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force and effect until
THREE: rescinded by action of the Corporate Authorities and, in any event,
shall terminate on September 1, 1993 unless extended by action of
the Corporate Authorities.
