RESOLUTION NO. R -90 -1
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, is a
municipality exercising Home Rule Powers pursuant to the
Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of
Deerfield have formed and thereafter directed the Redevelopment
Task Force of the Village of Deerfield to conduct a review of the
proposed redevelopment of those portions of the Southeast
quadrant of the Village Center depicted on Exhibit A attached
hereto and made a part hereof (the "Subject Area ") and to report
to the Corporate Authorities thereafter; and
WHEREAS, said undertaking will require a detailed analysis
of existing regulations and of the proposals developed by the
Redevelopment Task Force and other Boards and Commissions of the
Village of Deerfield as to any revisions of any regulations
affecting redevelopment in the Subject Area; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of
Deerfield that no proposed developments or redevelopments in the
Subject Area be considered or approved by the Corporate
Authorities until receipt of and consideration of the
Redevelopment Task Force's recommendation and other relevant
recommendations from Boards and Commissions of the Village of
Deerfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That a moratorium be declared on the acceptance of
ONE: petitions seeking approval of any forms of zoning
relief including subdivision and resubdivision
approval, zoning text or zoning map amendments, special use
applications or building permit applications for any improvements
other than those improvements which do not structurally alter the
external elements of any existing improvement lying within the
Subject Area pending action by the Corporate Authorities on the
above described recommendations.
SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force
TWO: and effect until rescinded by action of the
Corporate Authorities and, in any event, shall
terminate August 6, 1990 (154) days from the date hereof
unless extended by action of the Corporate Authorities.
