WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield is a Member of the Lake County Joint
Action Solid Waste Planning Agency; and
WHEREAS, with the passage of the Lake County Solid Waste Management Plan
by the County Board on September 12, 1989, the Lake County Joint Action Solid
Waste Planning Agency has successfully completed its work; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the appropriate steps now be taken to
dissolve said Agency; and
WHEREAS, the By -Laws of said Agency state that the Agency shall be deemed
to be officially dissolved upon the filing with the Secretary of the Agency,
at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date, certified copies of
ordinances or resolutions by a majority of the Members approving the disso-
lution of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield desires that the Lake County Joint
Action Solid Waste Planning Agency be dissolved, effective November 30, 1989,
with the understanding that the accrued expenses and obligations of the
Agency shall be finally settled no later than December 31, 1989.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Deerfield that as a Member of the Lake County Joint Action Solid
Waste Planning Agency, we do hereby request that said Agency be dissolved
effective November 30, 1989 with the understanding that the accrued expenses
and obligations of the Agency shall be finally settled no later than December
31, 1989; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon dissolution of the Agency, all funds
remaining after payment of all accrued expenses and obligations shall be
forwarded to the County of Lake for the sole purpose of supporting implemen-
tation of the Lake County Solid Waste Management Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the report of findings of the final audit
of the Lake County Joint Action Solid Waste Planning Agency, as conducted by
the certified public accounting firm of Friedman, Eisenstein, Raemer and
Schwartz, shall be forwarded to the Village of Deerfield upon its completion
and receipt by the Secretary of the Agency; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be delivered to the
Secretary of the Lake County Joint Action Solid Waste Planning Agency no later
than October 30, 1989 at the following address:
