Village of Deerfield is a member agency of the
Co- operative Association (hereinafter referred to as
WHEREAS, the MICA Board of Directors has requested that each member
agency adopt a Loss Prevention Policy Statement containing the agency's
commitment to provide a safe working environment; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Deerfield to maintain
and enhance a safe living and working environment for its residents and
employees:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield to adopt the Loss Prevention Policy
Statement below:
"It is the intention of the Village of Deerfield to develop,
implement, and administer an all encompassing loss
prevention program. The Village of Deerfield maintains that
its residents and employees are its most important assets.
Therefore, safety is our greatest responsibility. In all
assignments, the health and safety of all should be of the
utmost consideration. Department heads and all supervisory
personnel at all levels of the Village of Deerfield work
force are directed to make safety a matter of continuing
concern. This program is supported to emphasize that
effective loss prevention is an integral part of management
procedures to fully utilize personnel and capital of the
Village of Deerfield."

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, that:
The following officials be and are hereby authorized to sign
checks of the Village of Deerfield, two signatures or one signature and
one facsimile signature being required:
Mayor Bernard Forrest or Village Manager Robert D. Franz or
Deputy Village Clerk Sharon K. Cromie, or Trustee Cynthia J. Marty, or
Village Treasurer George J. Valentine.
