A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE SISTER CITY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has for many years had a Sister City
affiliation with Ludinghausen, Germany, designed to improve understanding
between the people of Ludinghausen and Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, in 1961, by Resolution, the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield created a Sister City Committee to implement the
Sister City program; and
WHEREAS, the Sister City Committee, which consists of five members,
could better fulfill its purpose by having the membership increased to seven
members:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Deerfield, that the Sister City Committee be expanded to
seven members, each to serve for an indefinite term.
RESOLVED: This 4th day of May , A.D. 1987.
