R-87-13RESOLUTION NO. R- 87 -;13 WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, is a municipality exercising Home Rule Powers pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield have directed the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield to conduct a review of those portions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield dealing with signage in those portions of the Village zoned and classified for use in the I -1 Office, Research, Restricted Industrial District; and WHEREAS, said undertaking will require a detailed analysis of existing signage and the proposals developed by the Plan Commission as to revisions of the present signage regulations; and .WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village of Deerfield that no new signage in the area designated above be considered or approved by the Corporate Authorities until receipt of and consideration of the Plan Commission recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That a moratorium be declared on the acceptance of ONE: petitions seeking either text amendments, variations and /or final plan approval of signage plans for properties lying within the area described above, pending action by the Corporate Authorities on the above described Plan Commission recommendation. SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force and TWO: effect until rescinded by action of the Corporate Authorities and, in any event, shall terminate Nib (90) days from the date hereof unless extended by action of the Corporate Authorities.
