AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP
AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO SPECIAL USE
IN C -1 VILLAGE CENTER DISTRICT -RENU BODY SPA
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has heretofore held a public
hearing on the application of Renu Body Spa (hereinafter referred to as "Applicant ") seeking the
reclassification of the properties legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto from P -1 Public
Lands District to the C -1 Village Center District and to authorize the development and use of said
property as a parking lot expansion (the "Subject Property "), as an Amendment to Special Use and
as hereinafter described, all in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance
of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice thereof and was in all
respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission has recommended the reclassification to the C -1 Village
Center District of the property described in Exhibit A and approval of said application for an
Amendment to Special Use for the Subject Property; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield have determined
that the best interests of the Village will be served by the reclassification of the property described
in Exhibit A to the C -1 Village Center District and authorization and granting of said Amendment.
to Special Use for the Subject Property in accordance with the Site Development Plan prepared by
Greengard, Inc. dated June 23, 1999 and presented by Applicant and marked as Exhibit B attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Zoning Map of the Village of Deerfield included and made a part
ONE: of the Village Zoning Ordinance passed April 17, 1978, as amended, is hereby
further amended by reclassifying the property legally described in Exhibit A
to the C -1 Village Center District.
SECTION That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby affirmatively find that the

requirements and standards set forth in the applicable provisions of the Village
Zoning Ordinance, and the Amendment to Special Use of the real estate, as and for the purposes of

SECTION That the approval and authorization of said Amendment to Special Use hereby

prepared by Greengard, Inc. dated June 23, 1999 and marked as Exhibit B, attached hereto and made
a part hereof, all other documentary and exhibit filings made pursuant to the Special Use provisions
of the Village Zoning Ordinance, the terms of this Ordinance, all representations by the Applicant
to the Plan Commission and President and Board of Trustees, and all other applicable provisions of
the Zoning Ordinance.
SECTION That any violation of any of the conditions hereinabove set forth shall
FOUR: authorize the revocation of the Amendment. to Special Use hereby authorized.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in
FIVE: pamphlet form and see to its recordation in the Office of the Recorder of
