AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT
TO SPECIAL USE - INDUSTRIAL PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
(CORPORATE 500 CENTRE - RESIDENCE INN)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has heretofore held a public
hearing on the application of the Marriott Residence Inn, to authorize an amendment to the previously
approved Special Use for certain real estate to permit changes to Signage Plan for the property legally
described on Exhibit A hereto (the "Property ") under and pursuant to the provisions of Articles 6.01 -
C, 12.01, 12.08, and 13.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice thereof and was in all
respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, Applicant presented a Signage Exhibit for review and consideration by the Plan
Commission, prepared by Olympic Signs, dated June 29, 1999, which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof as Exhibit B; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after considering the evidence
adduced including Exhibit B, the Amended Signage Plan, made written findings of fact and
recommended, the issuance of an Amended Special Use Permit to approve the Amended Signage Plan
to achieve the objectives sought by the Applicant; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby affirmatively find that the
ONE: Amended Special Use, as hereby authorized, fully complies with the
requirements and standards set forth in Articles 12.08 and 13.11 -D of the
Village Zoning Ordinance, and the Amended Signage Plan as set forth on Exhibit B be the same is,
hereby authorized and approved subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth and the requested
modifications as to sign location and height as recommended by the Plan Commission and as depicted
on Exhibit B are also authorized and approved.
SECTION That , the authorization and approval of the Amended Special Use for an
TWO: Industrial Planned Development is conditioned upon and subject to: (a)
compliance by Applicant, its successors and assigns with all elements of the
Amended Signage Plan described in the foregoing recitals and as attached hereto as Exhibit B; (b)
location of the new sign as approved as depicted in the Amended Signage Plan, and (c) compliance
by Applicant, its successors and assigns with all other applicable codes and ordinances of the Village
of Deerfield.

SECTION That failure of the Applicant, its successors and assigns to comply with the
THREE- conditions set forth herein shall result in the revocation of the permit for
Amended Special Use for the Industrial Planned Unit Development.
SECTION That all approval and authorization of said Amended Special Use hereby given
FOUR: is subject to the requirement that this Ordinance shall be recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, and all fees for such
recordation and expenses incurred therefor shall be paid by the Applicant.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish the Ordinance in pamphlet
FIVE: form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
SIX: approval and publication, as provided by law.
