AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF A
CERTAIN STREET AND VACATING A RECORDED
BUILDING LINE IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, thirty (30) feet of right -of -way of the Subject Property located at 1222 Country
Lane were previously dedicated to be used for public street improvements pursuant to Ordinance No.
0- 95 -01; and
WHEREAS, the current development plans do not require the extension of Country Lane from
Fairview Avenue to Willow Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has determined that in view of the
proposed resubdivision of 1222 Country Lane neither the existing 30 foot building line along the front
of the Subject Property nor-the dedicated right -of -way of Country Lane serves the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield upon receipt of the
report and recommendation of the Plan Commission and after due investigation and consideration, have
determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such
as to warrant the vacation of a portion of Country Lane hereinafter described and the vacation of the 30
foot building line.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That that portion of Country Lane in the Village of Deerfield having heretofore
ONE: been dedicated by a document recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Lake County, Illinois, which portion of said street is legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof, as shown on and designated by the words "Hereby
Vacated" on the Plat hereto attached, which Plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this
Ordinance, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no longer required
for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation.
SECTION That the 30 foot building line along the front of the Subject Property having
TWO: been established by a document recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Lake County, Illinois be and the same is hereby vacated inasmuch as the
public interest will be subserved by the vacating of such building line.
SECTION That upon passage and approval of this Ordinance, the Village Clerk shall file
THREE: for record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, a
certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the Plat hereto attached.
