WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, Illinois, is a municipality exercising
Home Rule Powers pursuant to the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield has initiated plans for a street project
within the Village Center, commonly referred to as "Access Avenue "; and
WHEREAS,,sdid project involves a major intersection improvement and street
realignment with the northwest and southeast quadrants of the Village Center;
and
WHEREAS, the final design of the street improvement has not yet been
finalized with respect to ingress and egress from properties bordering said
improvement:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That a:.moratorium be declared on the acceptance of
ONE: 1.) petitions seeking map amendments and /or zoning
variations; and 2.) applications for building permits
for properties lying within the area depicted on Exhibit A, attached hereto,
pending final engineering design of the "Access Avenue" improvement.
SECTION That said moratorium shall remain in full force and
TWO: effect until rescinded by action of the Corporate
Authorities and, in any event, shall terminate ninety
(90) days from the date hereof unless extended by action of the Corporate
Authorities.
