AN ORDINANCE FOR THE AMENDMENT OF
THE AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE SOLID
WASTE AGENCY OF LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, Illinois was formed on or
about February 21, 1991 by Intergovernmental Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the
"Agreement "; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield became a member of the Solid Waste Agency
of Lake County, Illinois on or about September 21, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for amendment of the Agreement only upon the
written agreement of all of the Members of the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, Illinois, said
agreement to be authorized by a duly enacted ordinance; and
WHEREAS, The Solid Waste Agency wishes to amend the Agreement to authorize
the amendment of the By -Laws by a 2/3 affirmative vote of all the Members as opposed to the
current 3/4 affirmative vote required by the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION Section 10. By -Laws of the Agreement Establishing the Solid Waste
ONE: Agency of Lake County, Illinois is hereby amended and shall read as
follows:
The Board of Directors shall adopt By -Laws for the Agency which shall, among
other matters, set forth provisions for the holding, notice, call and conduct of
meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, the adoption of annual
budgets and appropriations, the entering into of contracts and purchases by the
Agency, the adoption of regulations, approval of amendments or updates to the Plan,
or such other measures as are necessary to the performance of its obligations pursuant
to this Agreement. The By -Laws may be adopted or amended only upon the
affirmative vote of not less than 2/3 of the then Directors. The By -Laws may
provide additional requirements and procedures with respect to amendment of the By-
Laws.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM THE PROVISIONS
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1107 FOREST AVENUE, DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Jones have petitioned for a variation from the strict
provisions of Article 4.03 -F,3,b of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed April
17, 1978, as amended, as applied to the property legally described below which would permit a
sideyard of 4.84 feet in lieu of the required 8 feet and a combined sideyard of 17.62 feet in lieu of
the required 20 feet to accommodate an addition to the existing structure; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published, as required by statute, a public hearing on
said petition was held and conducted by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Deerfield;
and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the President and Board of
Trustees its written findings of fact and recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendations of the Zoning Board of
ONE: Appeals are concurred in and adopted as the findings of fact of the
President and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That the Board of Trustees finds that there are practical difficulties and
TWO: particular hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter of the
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as applied to
Petitioners' property, which is legally described below and made a part hereof.
