AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF A
CERTAIN STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, Whitehall North Convalescent Home, in the past, dedicated thirty (30)
feet of right -of -way to be used for public street improvements, and
WHEREAS, the current project to realign Kates Road at its intersection with
Waukegan Road eliminates the need for said right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield after due
investigation and consideration, have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the
public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of a portion of Kates Road
hereinafter described:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That those portions of a public street in the Village of Deerfield
ONE: having heretofore been dedicated by a document recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, which portion of
said street is legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof, as shown on
and designated by the words "Hereby Vacated" on the Plat hereto attached, which Plat for greater
certainty is hereby made a part of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed,
inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved
by such vacation.

THREE:
That upon passage and approval of this Ordinance, the Village Clerk
shall file for record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake
County, Illinois, a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the
