RESOLUTION NO. 0 -85 -08
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN DEERFIELD AND BANNOCKBURN FOR THE FORMATION
OF AN I- SEARCH UNIT
WHEREAS, the Illinois State Enforcement Agency to Recover Children
(I- SEARCH) is a program authorized by the Intergovernmental Missing Child
Recovery Act of .1984; and
WHEREAS, The Intergovernmental Missing Child Recovery Act of .
1984 allows the Department of Law Enforcement of the State of Illinois to
provide grants to local governmental bodies who combine to establish an
I- SEARCH Unit; and
WHEREAS, a Unit must consist of two or more governmental entities
with adjoining boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Police Departments of the Villages of Deerfield and
Bannockburn propose to form an I- SEARCH Unit by executing an intergovernmental
agreement, in conformance with the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield execute an inter -
ONE: governmental agreement with the Village of Bannock -
burn to form an I- SEARCH Unit.
SECTION That the Village President be authorized to sign
TWO: said intergovernmental agreement creating an
I- SEARCH Unit, effective upon adoption of this
Resolution.
