AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, ARTICLE III
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 12.18 of Article III of Chapter 12
ONE: of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975, as
amended, be and the same is hereby further amended
be deleting subsection (d)(i) and subsection (e), respectively,
in their entirety and substituting in lieu thereof, the following
subsections.
of (d)(i) Garden waste shall be collected on a
weekly basis in bags containing the appropriate
stickers which shall be available for purchase at
a price to be determined from time to time by the
corporate authorities."
if (e) The user fees for collection of garbage
and refuse shall be Two Dollars and 68 /100ths
($2.68) per month for once a week service, and Six
Dollars and 09 /100ths ($6.09) per month for twice
a week service, effective immediately. The
billing for said waste collection shall be made
quarterly for the services performed during the
preceding period. If the bill for residential
waste collection is not paid by the first day of
the month following the billing period for which
it is rendered, an additional ten percent (10 %)
shall be paid as a service charge for said late
payment."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
TWO: publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
THREE: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
