VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE No. 0 -94 -35
Concerning the addition of Deerlake Road from Lake Cook Road to the
southern terminus of Cook County Highway A50 Right -of -Way to the
municipal street system at a future date:
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield and METRA are Co- Permitees for an
improvement constructing Deerlake Road for approximately 400 feet
southward from Lake Cook Road on and across Cook County Highway A50
Right -of -Way;
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield as part of said Permit will
maintain the pavement and sidewalk of Deerlake Road from the south
edge of Lake Cook Road pavement southward on and across Cook County
Highway A50 Right -of -Way; and,
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield is desirous to accept
jurisdiction of Deerlake Road from Lake Cook Road southward in
order to add Deerlake Road to the municipal street system of this
municipality. `f
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained that, 14 days from the date that the
Director of Highways of the Illinois Department of Transportation
affixes.his signature to the Local Agency Agreement for Jurisdict-
ional Transfer (attached), that the Village take jurisdiction of
Deerlake Road from a line 69 feet from the centerline of Lake Cook
Road (Cook County Highway A50) southward to the terminus of said
Road within Highway A50 Right -of -Way and as delineated in
Supplement 1 attached, in its entirety and that it shall then and
thereafter become a municipal street of this municipality,
The Clerk of this municipality is directed to see that a certified
copy of this Ordinance as well as a certified copy of the enabling
minutes of the City Council authorizing the Mayor to execute an
agreement, by signature, on their behalf is attached as SUPPLEMENT
#2 of the agreement being entered into with the County of Cook
(three copies of said Agreement) and to return same to the County.

JURISDICTIONAL TRANSFER
In accordance with authority granted in Section 4-409 of the Illinois Highway Code, this age2ment is made and entered into be-
tween the above Local Agency No. 1, hereinafter referred to as "CONVEYOR ", and the above Local Agency No. 2, hereinafter
referred to as "RECIPIENT ", to transfer the jurisdiction of the designated location from the CONVEYOR to the RECIPIENT.

WHEREAS, the authority to make changes to the Municipal Street System is granted to the Municipality by Section 7 -101 of the

NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED that the corporate authority of said municipality will pass an ordinance providing for the transfer
of the above location and shall attach hereto and make a part hereof a copy of the ordinance, and

WHEREAS, the authority to make changes'to the County Highway System is granted to the County by Section 5 -105 of the Illinois
Highway Code.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED that the County Board of said County will pass a resolution providing for the transfer of the
above location and shall attach hereto and make a part hereof a copy of the resolution, and
THE CONVEYOR AGREES to prepare a map of the above location and attach a copy of such location map hereto.
IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED, that this jurisdictional transfer will become effective upon: a lapse of 14 days from

Illinois aforesaid and keeper of the records and files of said Cook
County, do hereby certify that the Board of Commissioners of the
County,pf Cook, at their regular meeting held on

RESOLUTION FOR TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION
OF DEERLAKE ROAD SOUTH OF LAKE COOK ROAD
RESOLVED, by the County Board of-Commissioners of Cook
County, Illinois, on behalf of. the County of Cook, do hereby
authorize and direct its President to execute three (3) copies of
an agreement with the Village of Deerfield and the State of
Illinois wherein the County agrees to transfer jurisdiction of
County Highway A50 Right -of -Way upon which Deerlake Road has been
constructed by Highway Permit from Lake Cook Road southward on and
across County Highway A50 Right -of -Way to the southern terminus of
said Right -of Way and as further delineated in Supplement 1, said
agreement and Supplement attached; the Village of Deerfield to
assume jurisdiction and add this portion of Deerlake Road onto its
municipal street system 14 days from the date the State of Illinois
executes the agreement; the Department of Highways is directed to
take the necessary action called for under the terms of this
agreement;
all which appears from the records and files of my offices.
