ORDINANCE NO. 0 -92 -58
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IN ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That subsections (a), (b) and (c) of Section 5 -12
ONE: entitled "Register and license required" of
Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of
1975, as amended, be and the same is further amended by deleting
said subsections in their entirety and substituting in lieu
thereof the following:
"(a) Any person who purchases, acquires,
keeps, harbors or otherwise maintains a dog
more than four (4) months of age in the
Village shall register and procure a license
for the same not later than fifteen (15) days
after receipt of a certificate of inoculation
in each year as described in Sections 5 -14
and 5 -16 of the Municipal Code.
(b) Any dog less than four (4) months of age shall
also be registered and licensed as provided herein not
later than fifteen (15) days after the same becomes
four (4) months of age and the certificate of
inoculation is received."
SECTION That Section 5 -15 entitled "Animal license fee"
TWO: of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of Deerfield of
1975, as amended, be and the same is further
amended by deleting in the first paragraph of said section in its
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Section 5 -15. Animal-license fee.
The license fee shall be five dollars ($5.00) for
each dog for each year."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
