ORDINANCE NO. 0 -91 -47
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 0 -88 -75 IMPOSING
A SURCHARGE FOR THE 911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SYSTEM
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1988, the Corporate Authorities of the
Village of Deerfield adopted Ordinance No. 0 =88 -75 imposing a
surcharge for the 911 emergency telephone system; and
WHEREAS, Section Eleven of Said Ordinance No. 0 -88 -75 pertains
to the appointment of an Emergency Telephone System Board; and
WHEREAS, Public Act 87 -146 signed into law on August 20, 1991
created new requirements for membership on the Emergency Telephone
System Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section Eleven of Ordinance No. 0 -88 -75 be and
ONE: is hereby repealed and that the following be
substituted in lieu thereof:
"The President and Board of Trustees, the Police Chief
of the Deerfield Police Department and the Fire Chief
of the Deerfield - Bannockburn Fire Protection District
are hereby appointed as the Emergency Telephone System
Board and shall have all powers and responsibilities
of the Emergency Telephone System Board as imposed by
the Act and hereunder."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
TWO: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
THREE: from and after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
