AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FROM THE PROVISIONS
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPERTY
COMMONLY KNOWN AS 650 ORCHARD STREET, DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, EDWIN and JUDITH SEIDMAN have petitioned for a
variation from the.strict provisions of Article 4.03- F,3,f(2) of
the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield, passed April
17, 1978, as amended, to permit the demolition of an existing
garage and construction of a new garage in the same location
resulting in a side yard of less than the required minimum 5
feet.
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published, as required by
statute, a public hearing on said.petition was held and.conducted
by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has filed with the
President and Board of Trustees its written findings of fact and
recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings of fact and recommendation of
ONE: the Zoning Board of Appeals are concurred in and
adopted as the findings of fact of the President
and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That there are practical difficulties and
TWO: particular hardships in the way of carrying out
the strict letter of the provisions of the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield as applied to Petitioner's
property, which is legally described as follows:
LOT 4 IN OWNER'S HOMESTEAD SUBDIVISION IN THE
S.W. 1/4 OF SEC. 28 T. 43 N. - R.12 E. OF THE
3RD P.M. ACCORDING TO PLAT THEREOF, RECORDED
DEC.11, 1922, AS DOC. 218864, IN BOOK "L" OF
PLATS, PAGE 48, IN LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
SECTION That a variation from the strict provisions of
THREE: Article 4.03- F,3,f(2) of the Zoning Ordinance of

hereinabove described, is hereby granted .so as to permit the
