AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Article 9.101 of Chapter 9 "Subdivisions" of
ONE: the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield of
1975, as amended, be and is hereby further amended
by adding the following definition thereto:
"Lot in Depth. A numbered lot in a recorded
subdivision or resubdivision which is located
adjacent to and directly behind another numbered
lot in that subdivision or resubdivision. The Lot
in Depth derives its only access to a public
street by an access strip narrower than the lot
width required by the underlying zoning district."
SECTION That Article 9.103 of Chapter 9 entitled
TWO: "Subdivisions" of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and
is hereby further amended by adding thereto subsesction (g) as
follows:
"(g) Lot in Depth subdivisions or resubdivisions.
No lot of record within a residential district
shall hereinafter be divided as to create a Lot in
Depth."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
THREE: publish this ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and
FOUR: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
