ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 -22 OF CHAPTER 5 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 5 -22 of Chapter 5 of the Municipal
ONE: Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as
amended, be and is hereby further amended by
deleting subsection (d) thereof and substituting in lieu thereof
the following:
"(d) In the event that such animal is confined to
a veterinary hospital or is impounded by a
governmental agency other than the Village of
Deerfield all costs of maintaining such animal
including any service charge imposed by any such
governmental agency shall be the obligation and
responsibility of the owner and shall be paid by
said owner."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
TWO: this ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and
THREE: effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
