ORDINANCE NO. 0 -8856
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND APPROVING A
SPECIAL USE IN P -1 PUBLIC LANDS DISTRICT - COMMUTER PARKING LOT
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of the Village
of Deerfield ( "Applicant ") for the classification of certain real
estate located within the Village in the P -1 Public Lands District
and as legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto (the "Subject
Property "); and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
also heretofore held a public hearing on the application of the
Applicant to authorize the development and use of the Subject
Property and to be zoned in the P -1 Public Lands District for a
Special Use to permit construction of a commuter parking lot in
accordance with the applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of
the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was, in all respects, held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after
considering the evidence adduced, made written findings of fact
recommending that the Zoning Map be amended to include the Subject
Property in the P -1 Public Lands District; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield have determined that the best interests of the Village
will be served by the classification of the Subject Property as
recommended by the Plan Commission; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield have determined that the best interests of the Village
will be served by the authorization and granting of said Special Use
in accordance with the plans and exhibits prepared by the Applicant,
dated August 1, 1988 and presented by Applicant and marked Exhibit B
and attached hereto and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Zoning Map of the Village of Deerfield
ONE: included and made a part of the Village Zoning
Ordinance passed April 17, 1978, as amended, is hereby
further amended by zoning and classifying the property described in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof, to the P -1 Public
Lands District.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND APPROVING A
SPECIAL USE IN P -1 PUBLIC LANDS DISTRICT - COMMUTER PARKING LOT
SECTION That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby
TWO: affirmatively find that the Special Use, as hereby
authorized, fully complies with the requirements and
standards set forth in the applicable provisions of the Village
Zoning Ordinance, and the Special Use of the real estate, as and for
construction of a commuter parking lot as set forth on Exhibit B,
prepared by Applicant, dated August 1, 1988, be and the same is
hereby authorized and approved subject to the conditions hereinafter
set forth.
SECTION That the approval and authorization of the Special Use
THREE: hereby granted is subject to the following conditions:
that all use, construction and development of the
Subject Property shall be in accordance with a site plan prepared by
Applicant, dated August 1, 1988 and submitted by Applicant, marked
Exhibit B attached hereto and made a part hereof, all other
documentary and exhibit filings made pursuant to the Special Use
provisions of the Village Zoning Ordinance, the terms of this
Ordinance, and all representations by the Applicant to the Plan
Commission and President and Board of Trustees.
SECTION That any violation of any of the conditions hereinabove
FOUR: set forth shall authorize the revocation of the
Special Use hereby authorized.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
FIVE: this Ordinance in pamphlet form and see to its record-
ation in the office of the.Recorder of Deeds of Lake
County, Illinois at Applicant's expense.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
SIX: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.
