ORDINANCE 0 -88 -19
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE
P -1 PUBLIC LANDS DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of the Village
of Deerfield and the Deerfield Park District (collectively the
"Applicant ") to authorize the development and use of certain real
estate described on Exhibit A hereto (the "Subject Property ") for a
Special Use in the P -1 Public Lands District, under and pursuant to
the provisions of Articles 7.2 and 13.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of
the Village of Deerfield to allow the development of a public park
on the Subject Property;_ and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was in all respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after
considering and reviewing the evidence adduced including the
Proposed Community Park Brickyards Site - Deerfield, Illinois plan
prepared by Michael P. Tarnow Associates, Inc., Landscape Architects
and Scheme B of the Brickyards Park Soccer Field Lighting Plan made
written findings of fact and recommended that said Special Use of
the Subject Property as and for a public park be approved and
authorized subject to certain conditions and restrictions
hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings and recommendations of the Plan
ONE: Commission approving said Special Use as and for a
public park in accordance with the Proposed Community
Park Brickyards Site - Deerfield, Illinois plan
prepared by Michael P. Tarnow Associates, Inc., Landscape Architects
and Scheme B of the Brickyards Park Soccer Field Lighting Plan are
concurred in and adopted as the findings of the President and Board
of Trustees and the Special Use of the real estate legally described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof to approve the
development of said public park in the Subject Property, be and the
same, is hereby authorized and approved.
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said Special

subject to the following conditions:
A. That the illumination of the lights on the Subject
Property shall not cause a spillover of lighting onto
adjoining property.

B. That all lighting on the Subject Property shall be
extinguished no later than by 10:00 p.m.
SECTION That any violation of.any of the conditions herein -
THREE: above set forth by the Applicant or its successors,
grantees, transferees or assigns shall authorize the
revocation of the Special Use permit hereby authorized.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
FOUR: this Ordinance in pamphlet form and to record said
Ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Lake County, Illinois at Applicant's expense.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
