AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22 -129 AND
22 -129A OF CHAPTER 22 OF-THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TURSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 22 -129 entitled "Definitions" of Article
ONE: 16 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is
further amended by adding thereto the following:
11(14) Lot No. 14 - Located on the east side of
Chestnut Street, between Greenwood Avenue and
Davis Avenue."
SECTION That Section 22 -129A entitled "Parking Fees" of Article
TWO': 16 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is
further amended by deleting Subsections (a) and (b) thereof in their
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"'(a) No vehicle may be parked in any of lots 5, 6, 7,
8, 11, 12, 13 or 14 without paying the parking
fees established therefor, nor may any vehicle
be parked.in any restricted portions of said lots
in contravention of any posted limitations relating
to types of permitted vehicles. Parking-'in lots
7 and 8 and the south fifty (50) spaces in lot 14
shall be limited to residents of the Village as
evidenced by display of a current Village of
Deerfield vehicle license. The parking fee for
parking in lots 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 14 shall
be seventy -five cents ($0.75) for each twenty -four
(24) hour period, and in lot 6 and the northernmost
fifty (50) parking spaces on the east side of
Chestnut in lots 12 and 13 the parking shall be
thirty -five dollars ($35.00) for Deerfield
residents and forty -five dollars ($45.00) for
non - residents, payable in advance for each three (3)
month period. Said'.permits :shall be issued on a
first come first served basis.
(b) In addition to those penalty provisions prescribed
in Section 22 -158 of this Article, any person
violating any provisions of this Section may have
his vehicle towed away from any of lots 5, 6, 7,
8, 11, 12, 13 and 14, impounded by the Village
and shall thereafter be assessed an impounding
charge of not less than thirty dollars ($30.00) nor
more than sixty dollars ($60.00) and a storage
cost of five dollars ($5.00) per day or fraction
thereof for each day the vehicle is impounded."

SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
THREE: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
FOUR: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: on May 2, 1988 after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
