AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO
SPECIAL USE FOR AMOCO OIL COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of Amoco Oil
Company, located at 700 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois (the
"Subject Property "), to authorize an amendment to the existing
Special Use to allow the installation of a canopy and certain
improvements on the Subject Property as depicted in the Plan
(hereinafter defined) and the addition of landscaping along the
western and northwestern property line of the Subject Property, all
in accordance with Articles 5.1 and 13.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of
the Village of Deerfield, as amended; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was in all respects held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield after
considering and reviewing the evidence adduced, the submitted
Service Station Site Plan No. 15665 and the Sales Room Conversion
Plan No. 15665, each prepared by Amoco Engineering Department, and
each dated June 24, 1987, and the submitted Skew Canopy Details Plan
prepared by Amoco Engineering Department and dated August 1, 1987
and attached hereto as Exhibit B (collectively, the "Plan "), made
written findings of fact and recommended that said amendment to the
Special Use of the Subject Property be approved and authorized
subject to certain conditions and restrictions hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the findings and recommendations of the Plan
ONE: Commission as to the evidence adduced and the
submitted Plan to allow the installation of a canopy
and certain improvements on the Subject Property as depicted in the
Plan and the addition of landscaping along the western and
northwestern property line of the Subject Property are concurred in
and adopted as the findings of the President and Board of Trustees
and the amendment to the Special Use of the Subject Property legally
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof to
approve the Plan be and the same is hereby authorized and approved.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO
SPECIAL USE FOR AMOCO OIL COMPANY
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said amendment
TWO: to Special Use of the Subject Property is hereby given
subject to the requirements that all use shall be in
accordance with all exhibits, testimony, representations submitted
and made by the Applicant to the Plan Commission and President and
Board of Trustees and is also subject to compliance by Applicant
with all other applicable provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield.
SECTION That the approval and authorization of said
THREE: amendment to Special Use of the Subject Property as
hereby granted is subject to the following conditions:
(1) Applicant shall at its own expense provide
landscaping on the Subject Property as determined
by a certain Streetscape Plan to be prepared by
the Streetscape Design Task Force of the Village
of Deerfield (the "Streetscape Plan ").
(2) Applicant shall grant the Village of Deerfield a
10 -foot easement for streetscape purposes along
the east property line of the Subject Property in
form satisfactory to the Village.
(3) The Applicant shall deposit in an interest
bearing account the sum of $7,500.00 to be held
by the Village of Deerfield for the mutual
benefit of Applicant and the Village of Deerfield
to pay for the cost of streetscaping the Subject
Property in accordance with the Streetscape Plan.
(4) Applicant will make interior access to the
cashier's office available to patrons during
inclement weather.
SECTION That any violation of the conditions hereinabove set
FOUR: forth by Applicant or its successors, grantees,
transferees or assigns shall authorize the revocation
of the amendment to Special Use hereby authorized.

paid by the Applicant.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
SIX: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
SEVEN: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.

ELECTRICAL FIXTURES, WINDOWS AND ENTRANCES,
STRUCTURAL STEEL, TOILET FIXTURES.
C. TEMPORARY FACILITIES LIGHT, POWER, WATER AND TOILET
FACILITIES SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE GENERAL
CONTRACTOR.
D. PROTECTIONS: EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT HIS
EXCAVATIONS: HE SHALL PUMP THEM FREE OF WATER AND
MAINTAIN LIGHTED BARRICADES. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROTECT HIS WORK FROM WEATHER DAMAGE AND SHALL
COVER AREAS TO ELIMINATE RAIN, SNOW OR ICE,
