AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 -66 OF ARTICLE 8
OF CHAPTER 15 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 15 -66 of Article 8 of Chapter
ONE: 15 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the
same is hereby amended by deleting subsection (c)(1) and by
substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"(c)(1) Possession and consumption of alcoholic
beverages by intoxicated persons and others
prohibited by Village ordinance and /or Illinois
statute from possession or consumption of
alcoholic beverages."
SECTION That Section 15 -66 of Article 8 of Chapter
TWO: 15 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the
same is hereby further amended by deleting subsection (d) thereof
and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"(d) The owner of real property on which any
of the aforementioned prohibited activities
take place shall have violated this Section
by failing to exercise proper responsibility
for those committing any of the acts set forth
in subsection (c) and said minors or other
persons shall be deemed to have committed
the said acts with the knowledge and permission
of the owner, in violation of this Section."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed
THREE: to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.

SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
FOUR in conflict herewith are to the extent of
such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force
FIVE: and effect from and after its passage, ap-
proval and publication as provided by law.
