ORDINANCE NO. 0 -87 -47
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19 -28 OF ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER 19
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 19 -28 of Article 2 of Chapter 19 of the
ONE: Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975,
as amended, be and.the same is hereby further amended
by deleting that Section in its entirety and substi-
tuting in lieu thereof, the following:
"(a) The width of driveways shall be measured either from the
lot line adjoining a street or two (2) feet from the lot
line into the public right -of -way in cases where a
safety sidewalk exists on the site, as follows:
(1) For residential uses not less than nine (9) feet
wide or more than eighteen (18) feet wide;
(2) For non - residential uses not less than nine (9) feet
wide or more than twelve (12) feet wide for a
one -way driveway and not less than eighteen (18)
feet wide or more than thirty (30) feet wide for
a two -way driveway.
(b) For purposes of this Section, "safety sidewalk" shall be
defined as a sidewalk separated from the street by a
parkway."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO: Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
THREE: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.
