WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, on February 16, 1981, did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 0 -81 -02 declaring a moratorium on acceptance of petitions seeking map
amendments and zoning variations for properties lying within an area more par-
ticularly described in said Resolution (the "moratorium area "); and
WHEREAS, the declared purpose of said moratorium was to enable the Village
of Deerfield to consider zoning methods and developmental standards appropriate
to facilitate the development of the moratorium area in conformity with the
goals of the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a
part ,hereof is included in the moratorium area established by Resolution No.
0- 81 -02; and
WHEREAS, The area depicted in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part
hereof has been used as a gasoline service. station for a period of approxi-
mately 20 years by virtue of a court decree although presently zoned in the
R -4 single and two - family district; and
WHEREAS, said property by virtue of said commercial use and also by virtue
of its location at the southwest corner of Osterman Avenue and Waukegan Road
is unique and different from those properties otherwise included in the mora-
torium area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD. OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the moratorium on the acceptance of petitions seeking map
ONE: amendments and /or zoning variations for properties lying within
the moratorium area depicted in Resolution No. 0 -81 -02 shall be .
deemed inapplicable for the property described in Exhibit A and attached
hereto..
SECTION That except.to the extent modified hereby, Resolution No. 0 -81 -02
TWO: shall remain in full force and effect according to its terms.

resurfacing of a portion of Deerfield Road, under Federal Aid Urban System
Program-
passed by the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village at a regular
meeting thereof held on September 21, 1981 , and now in full force
and effect, all as appears in the records and files of the office of the
Village Clerk.
