AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2 -110 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
WHEREAS, the Village of Deerfield, an Illinois Municipal
Corporation, is a Home Rule municipality and is exercising Home Rule
powers pursuant to the State of Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have deemed it appropriate
that the police matrons serving the Village of Deerfield be
appointed for terms in excess of one year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 2 -110 Police Matrons be amended by
ONE: substituting in lieu of subsection (a) thereof the
following:
"(a) Subject to the approval of the Board, the
President may appoint one or more persons to the
position of police matron to serve until said
appointment shall be terminated in the same manner.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
TWO: . this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
THREE: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication
.as provided by law.
