ORDINANCE NO. 0 -86 -43
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 6 OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission.of the Village of Deerfield has
heretofore held a public hearing on the application of Hyatt
Development Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Applicant ") to
consider a certain text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to permit
the development of a hotel and uses accessory to a-hotel use upon
the Subject Property as a Special Use pursuant to an Industrial
Planned Unit Development within the I -1 Office, Research, Restricted
Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was .held pursuant to duly published notice
thereof and was, in all respects, held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after
considering the evidence adduced, made written findings of fact in
favor of the proposed text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of the
Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Deerfield have determined that the recommendations of the Plan
Commission will serve the best interests of the Village of Deerfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Article 6.1 -3,8 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
ONE: Village of Deerfield, as amended, be and the same is
further amended by deleting said Article in its
entirety and substituting in lieu thereof, the
following:
Hotel, and uses accessory to a hotel use upon the
Hotel Site, provided such use is developed as part of
a Planned Industrial Development of a minimum of 25
acres and further provided that such Planned
Industrial Development shall be located adjacent to
either Interstate Highway 294 (also known as the
Tri -State Tollway) or Interstate Highway 94 (also
known as the Edens Spur).
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
TWO: this Ordinance in pamphlet form.

SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
THREE: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.
