ORDINANCE NO. 0 -86 -59 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 3- 1(a)(3) of Chapter 3 of the Municipal ONE: Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking said Section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "3(A) Not For Profit Club: A corporation organized under the laws of this State, and not for pecuniary profit, solely for the promotion of some common object rather than the sale of consumption of alcoholic liquor, which conforms to the definition of a club in Chapter 43, paragraph 95.24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes. (3)(B) Private Club: A corporation organized under the laws of this State, operated for recreational and social purposes on a private membership basis, which may include the service of food and alcoholic liquor." SECTION That Section 3 -8 of Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code of TWO: the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, is hereby further amended by amending said Section as follows: "CLASS D, which shall authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquor by a not - for - profit club to its members for consumption on the not - for - profit club premises; and which shall also authorize -the retail sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption, in the public and private rooms of the not - for - profit club for privately sponsored parties, lunches, dinners, receptions and similar gatherings where attendance is limited to invited guests. CLASS D -1, which shall authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquor by the drink to its members by a religious, charitable, fraternal or other not -for- profit organization other than not - for - profit clubs as defined herein, and which shall also authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption, in ORDINANCE NO. 0 -86 -59 the public and private rooms of the organization for privately sponsored parties, lunches, dinners, receptions and similar gatherings where attendance is limited to invited guests. Use of the licensed premises by the licensee or for private, non - organization functions shall not exceed ten (10) events in any single month and written notification of the intended use of the licensed premises for such purpose shall be given to the Village Police Department prior to the first day of the month in which any such event is to occur. CLASS D -2, which shall authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquor by a private club to its members for consumption on the club premises, and which shall also authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption in the public and private rooms of the private club for privately sponsored parties, lunches, dinners, receptions and similar gatherings where attendance is limited to members and invited guests." SECTION That Section 3 -9 of Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code of THREE: the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu therof the following: "Sec. 3 -9. Number of Licenses. There shall be issued in the Village no more than: Class A Five (5) Class B None (0) Class BB One (1) Class C Four (4) Class D One (1) Class D -1 One (1). Class D -2 None (0) Class E Seven (7) Class F None (0) Class G One (1) licenses to be in effect at one time." SECTION That Section 3 -8A of Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code of FOUR: the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu therof the following: ORDINANCE NO. 0 -86 -89 "Sec. 3 -8A. Fees. The annual license fees for the various classes of liquor licenses shall be as follows: Class A $2,000.00 Class B 750.00 Class BB 1,000.00 Class C 11000.00 Class D 1,500.00 Class D -1 500.00 Class D -2 Class E 2 500` 00 Class F, per event 25.00 Wine tasting permit (per special permit) not to exceed 4 per year, available only to Classs A and Class B license holders upon proper application 50.00 per wine tasting Class G 3,000.00" SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
