O-85-46ORDINANCE NO. 0-85-46 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three - fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Deerfield, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Deerfield to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, November 9, 1985, at 11:00 A.M. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION Pursuant to Section 11 -76 -4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, ONE: Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11 -76 -4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield find that the following described personal property: MINIMUM VIN. YEAR MAKE MODEL VALUE OX92B112402 1980 Ford Fairmont $1,000.00 OK92B113943 1980 Ford Fairmont $1,000.00 now owned by the Village of Deerfield, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Deerfield, and the best interests of the Village of Deerfield will be served by its sale. SECTION Pursuant to said Section 11 -76 -4, the Village Manager is TWO: hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned per- sonal property now owned by the Village of Deerfield, at public auction on Saturday, November 9, 1985, at 11:00 A.M., at the Evanston Public Works Facility, 2020 Asbury, Evanston, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal property. SECTION The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the THREE: Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community be- fore the date of said public auction. SECTION No bid which is less than the minimum price set for in the list FOUR: of property to be sold shall be accepted. SECTION The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the FIVE: Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into an agreement for the sale of said personal property. The auction shall be conducted and the auctioneer shall be compensated in the manner set forth in the contract attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance. SECTION No bid which is less than the minimum value set forth in list SIX: of property to be sold shall be accepted, unless a lower amount is authorized by.the Village Manager or his representative at the auction. SECTION. Upon payment of the full auction price, the Village Manager is SEVEN: hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property, to the successful bidder. SECTION This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after EIGHT: its passage, by.a vote of at least three - fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
