O-85-53ORDINANCE N0. 0 -85- 53 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES 9 and 14 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD Published in pamphlet form this day of DECEMBER , 1985, by the President and Board of Trustees of Deerfield. ORDINANCE NO. 0 -85 -53 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES 9 and 14 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has heretofore held a public hearing to consider certain text amendments to those portions of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to signage requirements and limitations relating to Reader Board Signs. WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice thereof and was, in all respects, held according to law; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, after considering the evidence adduced, made written findings of fact in favor of the proposed text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield have determined that the recommendations of the Plan Commission as to the proposed text amendments will serve the best interests of the Village of Deerfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That Article 9 of ONE: of Deerfield, as amended by adding follows: the Zoning Ordinance of the Village amended, be and the same is further subsection (d) to Article 9.1 -2,8, as "(d) Any Reader Board Signs" SECTION That Article 14 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village TWO: of Deerfield, as amended, be and the same is further amended by adding thereto the following definition to Article 14.2: "Sign, Reader Board - Any advertising structure having changeable copy for the purpose of adver- tising special events, sales or to be changed on a regular basis." i" SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish THREE: this Ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict FOUR: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION That this Ordinance shall be'in full force and effect FIVE: from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
