AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ABATEMENT OF TAX FOR 1984 LEVY
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1984, the Corporate Authorities of the
Village of Deerfield passed Ordinance No. 0 -84 -66 providing for the
abatement of certain taxes previously levied including an abatement
of a levy for an account of the Debt Service Fund known as "Land
Acquisition Bond 1974 - $165,088 "; and
WHEREAS, said abatement was erroneous and the proper abatement
of the Debt Service Fund was intended to affect the levy of the
account of the Debt Service Fund known as "Installment Promissory
Note, 1979 - $165,088 "; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield
desire to correct the aforementioned error and to substitute the
proper account in said Ordinance No. 0- 84 -66.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Ordinance No. 0- 84 -66, passed December 17, 1984
ONE: is hereby amended in that the County Clerk of Lake
County and the Clerk of Cook County are hereby
authorized and directed to abate the amount set forth below of the
tax heretofore provided for and levied in Ordinance No. 0- 84 -37, a
copy of which is filed with the respective County Clerks, providing
for a levy for the following account of the Debt Service Fund of the
Village of Deerfield, Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois.
Bonds to be Abated Amount of Abatement
Installment Promissory Note, 1979 $165,088
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield has on hand sufficient
TWO: funds from tax proceeds to pay the total tax levied by
the above - described Ordinance for said purpose for the
fiscal year commencing May 1, 1985, therefore, a reduced tax levy is
appropriate.
SECTION That except as amended hereby, Ordinance No. 0 -84 -66
THREE: providing for additional tax levy abatements shall
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to file
FOUR: certified copies of this Ordinance with the County
Clerks of Lake and Cook Counties.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FIVE: from and after its passage and approval, as provided
by law.
