ORDINANCE NO. 0 -84 -39 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 22 -76A AND 22 -129A OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS. FOLLOWS: SECTION That Section 22 -76A "Limitations on parking in areas ONE: designated 'Handicapped Parking"' of the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is further amended by deleting subsection (b) thereof and substituting in lieu thereof the following: (b) In lieu of the penalty provisions prescribed in Section 22 -158 of this Article, any person violating any provisions of this Section shall be assessed a fine in the amount of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense and any such person may have his vehicle towed from any parking area designated as a handicapped parking area and, thereafter, said vehicle shall be impounded by the Village and be assessed an impounding charge of thirty dollars ($30.00) and a storage cost of five dollars ($5.00) per day or fraction thereof for each day the vehicle is impounded." SECTION That Section 22 -129A "Parking Fees" of the Municipal TWO: Code of the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is further amended by deleting sub- section (b) thereof and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "(b) In addition to those penalty provisions prescribed in Section 22 -158 of this Article, any person violating any provisions of this Section may have his vehicle towed away from any of lots 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, impounded by the Village and shall thereafter be assessed an impounding charge of thirty dollars .($30.00) and a storage cost of five dollars ($5.00) per day or fraction thereof for each day the vehicle is impounded. SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish THREE: this ordinance in pamphlet form. SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
