R-80-15RESOLUTION NO. 0 -80 -15
A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO AN APPLICATION FOR A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT PURSUANT TO
THE LAKE COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the application known as Docket No. 2571 has been filed by the
owners of the premises commonly known as Tollway North Office Center, 108 Wilmot
Road, Deerfield, Illinois requesting that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the
County of Lake consider approval of a conditional use permit for the sale of
alcoholic beverages in an employee food service facility located in OR Zone; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Conditional Use would affect an area of unincorporated
Lake County lying adjacent to and within one - and - one -half miles of the corporate
limits of the Village of Deerfield, a zoned municipality; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield
are of the opinion that the granting of the conditional use described in said
application would be contrary to the best interests of the Village of Deerfield
and of the community, in that the application results in the granting of a
conditional use permit for property contrary to the residential character of
property located on the east side of Wilmot Road and which is incompatible with
other surrounding or nearby properties, particularly the substantial residentially
zoned and used areas of the Village of Deerfield and which would attract the
traffic, noise, congestion and other accompanying undesirable features associated
with such land uses,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Village of Deerfield, by the Lake County Zoning Board
ONE: of Appeals, pursuant to Chapter 34, Section 3158, Illinois
Revised Statutes 1979, hereby protests and objects to the
approval of the application described in Docket No. 2571 for said Conditional
Use.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified
TWO: copy of this Resolution to the Applicant, Lake County Board of
Appeals, the Board of Supervisors of Lake County and the County
Clerk of Lake County.
