O-84-33ORDINANCE NO. 0 -84 -33 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A CERTAIN ALLEY IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield, upon the petition of Randolph F. Thomas, Barbara Thomas, Joyce Williams, Dorothy Williams, Candyce L. Normandy, Kenneth E. Normandy, Lourie L. Delaney and Michael E. Delaney and the recommen- dation of the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield, and after due investigation and consideration, have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interest to be subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of portions of the alley herein- after described: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION That a public alley in the Village of Deerfield, having ONE: heretofore been dedicated by a document recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Lake County, Illinois, which portion of said alley is legally described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot No. 30; thence Southwesterly along the Southerly line of a 16 foot wide alley (also being the Northerly line of Lots Nos. 30 and 31) to the Northwest corner of Lot No. 31; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of a 16 foot wide alley (also being the Westerly line of Lots Nos. 31 and 32) to a point 15 feet Southeasterly of the North- west corner of Lot No. 32 as measured along the Westerly line thereof; thence perpendicular to the last described course at the last described point a distance of 16 feet to the Westerly line of a 16 foot wide alley (said point also being on the Easterly line of Lot No. 42); thence Northwesterly 31.73 feet along the Westerly line of a 16 foot wide alley (also being the Easterly line of Lots Nos. 42,43 and 44) to the Northerly line of a 16 foot wide alley (being a Southwesterly prolongation of the Southerly line of Lot No. 29),; thence Northeasterly along the Northerly line of a 16 foot wide alley (also being the Southerly line of Lot No. 29 and its prolongation Southwesterly) to the Southeast corner of Lot No. 29; thence Southeasterly along the Westerly line of Lincoln Avenue (currently Waukegan Road) and Journal Place to.the point of beginning, containing 0.1004 acres, all in Block No. 4 of the Deerfield Park, Land and Improve- ment Association Subdivision of that part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 12 East of the Third Principal Meridian as recorded on May 5, 1898 in Book D of Plats on pages 64 through 67 in Lake County, Illinois. as shown on and designated by the words "Hereby Vacated" on the Plat hereto attached, which Plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed, inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation.
