ORDINANCE NO. 0 -83 -28
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE
OF SURPLUS VILLAGE PROPERTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield,
ONE: pursuant to Chapter 24, Section 11 -76 -4 (111. Rev. Stat.) hereby
declare that the vehicles described on Exhibit A and attached
hereto and made a part hereof are no longer necessary or useful
for the purposes of the Village of Deerfield and further that
the disposition of said vehicles is in the best interests of the
Village of Deerfield.
SECTION That the Village Manager be and is hereby directed to prepare
TWO: and publish a Notice of Sale of said vehicles in the News -
Advdrtiser in such form and style as the Village Manager deems
appropriate.
SECTION That upon receipt of bids for said vehicles, the Village Manager
THREE: is authorized and directed to complete the sale of each of said
vehicles to the highest bidder for each in accordance with the
procedures to be specified in the Notice of Sale.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
FOUR: are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
FIVE: after its passage and approval as provided by law.

THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD has declared the following
vehicles as surplus:
1977 Dodge Aspen, Serial No. NL41C7F284918 - 4 door sedan
1978 Chevrolet Nova, Serial No. 1X68D8W176284 - 4 door sedan
1978 Chevrolet Nova, Serial No. 1X69D8W176220 - 4 door sedan
These vehicles may be inspected by contacting Deputy Chief of Police
Robert Davenport at 850 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois, between
the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
Sealed bids will be taken for the purchase of these vehicles.
Bids are to be delivered to George J. Valentine, Finance Director,
Village of Deerfield, 850 Waukegan Road, Deerfield, Illinois, 60015,
at any time prior to bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by a
check in the amount of the bid: Minimum bid is $1,000.00
Bids will be opened by September 2, 1983, at 10:00 A.M. at
the Village Hall. Each vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder in
each case upon receipt by the Village of a certified or Ca'shier's
check 6r upon receipt by the Village of collected funds from an
uncert if i ed check.:
