AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE
OF SURPLUS VILLAGE PROPERTY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Deerfield,
ONE: pursuant to Chapter 24, Section 11 -76 -4 (Ill.Rev.Stat.) hereby
declare that the vehicles described on Exhibit A and attached
hereto and made a part hereof are no longer necessary or useful
for the purposes of the Village of Deerfield and further that
the disposition of said vehicles is in the best interests of the
Village of Deerfield.
SECTION That the Village Manager be and is hereby directed to prepare
TWO: and publish a Notice of Sale of said vehicles in the
News- Advertiser in such form and style as the Village Manager
deems appropriate.
SECTION That upon receipt of bids for said vehicles, the Village Manager
THREE: is authorized and directed to complete the sale of each of said
vehicles to the highest bidder for each in accordance with the
procedures to be specified in the Notice of Sale.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
FOUR: are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
FIVE: after its passage and approval as provided by law.
