AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 10 -1 entitled "Adoption of Fire Prevention Code;
ONE: exceptions" of Chapter 10 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same is further amended
by deleting subsection (c,) thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(c) The provisions of the 1981 edition of the BOCA
Basic Fire Protection Code, as amended, are hereby
adopted and by this reference made a part of this
Chapter with the same force and effect as though set
out in full herein as to that portion of the Village
lying within the corporate limits of Northbrook Rural
Fire Protection District and within said area, said
Code shall be enforced by the Fire Chief of said
District who is hereby appointed Fire Marshal of said
area of the Village to be compensated at the rate of
one dollar ($1.00) annually."
SECTION The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
THREE: after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
