AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22 -139
OF ARTICLE 17 OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE-OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 22 -139 entitled "Licenses Required ".of
ONE: Article 17 of Chapter 22 of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and
the same is further amended by deleting said section in its entirety and
substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to own or operate a motor vehicle registered by the
State of Illinois without a valid Village of.Deerfield
Vehicle License sticker or tag, lawfully displayed and
properly affixed thereto where (a;) the State registra-
tion shows an address within the corporate limits of
the Village of Deerfield or, in the alternative (b)
where such motor vehicle is customarily garaged, stored
or parked overnight within the corporate limits of the
Village of Deerfield.and does not have affixed thereto
evidence of a. valid vehicle license issued by this
municipality or other local governmental entity wherein
it is registered by the State of Illinois."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO: Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
THREE: herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby
repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
FOUR: from and after its passage, approval and publication,
as provided by law.
