AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL USE
IN P -1 PUBLIC LANDS DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Deerfield has heretofore
held a public hearing on the application of School District 4109 (herein
referred to as "Applicant ") to authorize the development and- use of certain
real estate described on Exhibit A hereto and located at the intersection of
Deerfield Road and Kipling Place and zoned in the P -1 Public Lands District,
for a Special Use to allow a public historical landmark area and the con-
struction of a "Little Red School House" in accordance with the applicable
provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Deerfield; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was held pursuant to duly published notice thereof
and was, in all respects, held according to law; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission recommend approval of said application; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Deerfield
have determined that the best interests of the Village will be served by the
authorization and granting of said Special Use in accordance with a certain
Plan of Development and Elevation marked Exhibit B1 and B2 and.attached hereto
and made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby affirma-
ONE: tively find that the Special Use, as hereby authorized, fully
complies with the requirements and standards set forth in the
applicable provisions of the Village Zoning Ordinance, and the Special Use of
the real estate, as and for purposes of a public historical landmark area and
the construction of a "Little Red School House" as set forth on Exhibit B,
be and the same is hereby authorized and approved subject to the conditions
hereinafter set forth.
SECTION That the approval and authorization of Special Use hereby
TWO: granted is subject to the following conditions:
(A) That all use, construction and development shall be in accor-
dance with a certain Site Plan dated June 11, 1981, and marked Exhibit B1
and a building elevation dated June 11, 1981, and marked Exhibit B2, attached
hereto and made a part hereof, all other documentary and exhibit filings made
pursuant to the Special Use provision of the Village Zoning Ordinance, the
terms of this Ordinance, and all representations by the Applicant to the Plan
Commission and President and Board of Trustees, specifically including but not
limited to the following:
(B) No additional historical buildings shall be allowed on the
subject property.

SECTION That any violation of any of the conditions hereinabove set

hereby authorized.
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
FOUR: Ordinance in pamphlet form and see to its recordation in
the office of the Recorder of Deeds at Lake County, Illinois
at Applicant's expense.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from

by law.
