RESOLUTION NO. R -78 -10
WHEREAS, the production of residential, industrial and com-
mercial solid waste represents a stifling effect on the economic
growth of Lake County and the communities therein; and
WHEREAS, the disposition of land relative to the wastes so
generated represents a departure from accepted land use policies
as reflected by the citizens of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has invited
interested parties to submit pre- applications for the funding for
urban area solid waste resource recovery planning and feasibility
analysis; and
WHEREAS, the County of Lake.is planning to submit such a
pre - application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to
fund such a program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That the corporate authorities of the Village of
ONE: Deerfield encourage the County of Lake to file
said pre - application with the U.S. Environmental
Agency.
SECTION. That this body does hereby endorse, in principle,
TWO: the proposed pre - application for said program.
