ORDINANCE NO. 0 -81 -16
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING OF A REGULAR VILLAGE
ELECTION, PUBLISHING OF NOTICE OF ELECTION, ESTABLISHING PRECINCTS,
DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES, AND APPOINTING JUDGES OF ELECTION, TO BE HELD ON
APRIL 7, 1981, IN THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, it is provided by law that a regular election shall be held in
the Village of Deerfield on the 7th day of April, 1981, for the filling of the
following offices, to wit: Village President, three (3) Village Trustees for
full four -year terms, and three (3) Library Directors for full six -year terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That a regular election is hereby called to be held in and for
ONE: the Village of Deerfield, on Tuesday, April 7, 1981, between the
hours of 6:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. of said day, for the purpose of
electing a Village President, three (3) Village Trustees for full four -year
terms, and three (3) Library Directors for full six -year terms.
SECTION The County Clerk of Lake County, in his capacity as election
TWO: authority having certain statutory duties with respect to the
conduct of said regular election within this Village, shall be
responsible for the publication of notice of said election -in the proper news-
paper, for designating the polling places and precincts within this Village to
be used at such election, for the preparation and printing of sufficient bal-
lots in the forms prescribed by statute for use,at said election within this
Village, and for the appointment and designation of persons to serve as judges
of election at the polling places so established within the Village.
SECTION This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
