Dear Kent Street,
Please allow this letter to serve as the DBR Chamber of Commerce request to continue building
on the positive groundwork established between the Village of Deerfield and the DBR Chamber
of Commerce. On behalf of the Chamber and all its members, thank you for your investment in
our local businesses.
The financial assistance the Village of Deerfield has provided the DBR Chamber of Commerce in
the past has helped us to provide the support and assistance needed to support Deerfield’s
residents, businesses and visitors. In the current economic times, it is imperative that we do all we
can to further educate our residents and the surrounding areas of all we have to offer local and to
support our businesses through education and marketing.
We were excited to be able to go back to our normal schedule of events and services our
organization provides to the business and residential community. It is therefore our hope that as
part of the 2023 budget, the Village of Deerfield will approve a line item to continue this
worthwhile funding in the amount of $32,949.00. We have included a “2022 Year in Review” of
the Chamber’s efforts to highlight the many programs and services we produced. Our new office
location on Lake Cook Road in Deerfield has been an asset to both our members and the
community, serving as a meeting place and event space.
Vicki Street or I would be happy to answer any questions you or the Board of Trustees may have
regarding these initiatives. Please feel free to contact Vicki Street at (847) 945-4660.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and consideration of our funding request.
Sincerely
Geoff Horwitz
