AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 -1 OF CHAPTER 13
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 13 -1 entitled "Adoption of BOCA Basic Housing -
ONE: Property Maintenance Code" of Article 1 of Chapter 13 of the
Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the same
is further amended by deleting said section in its entirety and substituting
in lieu thereof, the following:
"Section 13 -1. Adoption of The BOCA Basic Property
Maintenance Code /1978.
The BOCA Basic Property Maintenance Code /1978, First
Edition, as published by the Building Officials & Code
Administrators International, Inc., is hereby adopted
and by reference thereto is made a part of this
Chapter with the same force and effect as though set
out in full herein as the official Housing - Property
Maintenance Code of the Village of Deerfield, save and
except such amendments, additions, changes or
deletions as are specified in this Chapter. At least
three (3) copies of such BOCA Basic Property Main-
tenance Code /1978 are on file and open for public use,
examination and inspection in the office of the
Village Clerk."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this
TWO: Ordinance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
THREE: after its passage and approval as provided by law.
