AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 -92
OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 2 -92 entitled "Powers and duties of Director of
ONE: Building and Zoning" of Article 8, Division 3, of Chapter 2 of
the Municipal Code of Deerfield of 1975, as amended, be and the
same is further amended by adding thereto subsection (6) as follows:
"(6) Enforce or cause to be enforced the provisions of
The BOCA Basic Property Maintenance Code /1978 as adopted
by the Village of Deerfield pursuant to Chapter 13,
Section 13 -1, of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Deerfield and in the course of said enforcement issue
any such citations or orders resulting from violations
of said Code and initiate prosecution of any such vio-
lations with the cooperation of the Village Prosecutor
of the Village of Deerfield."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this

SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
THREE: after its passage and approval as provided by law.
