ORDINANCE NO. 0 -79 -82
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3 -22 and 3 -23 OF CHAPTER 3 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD OF 1975
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
DEERFIELD, LAKE AND COOK COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION That Section 3 -22 entitled "Sales to minors prohibited" of
ONE: Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield of
1975, as amended, be and the same is further amended by deleting
subsections (a) and (b) thereof in their entirety and substituting in lieu
thereof the following:
"(a) No person under the age of twenty -one (21) years
shall purchase or obtain any alcoholic liquor at any
place in the Village where liquor is sold.
(b) No person under the age of twenty -one (21) years
shall misrepresent his or her age for the purpose of
purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor at any place
in the Village where liquor is sold."
SECTION That Section 3 -23 entitled "Purchase or acceptance of gift of
TWO: liquor by person of non -age; identification cards; exception" of
Chapter 3 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Deerfield be
amended by deleting subsection (e) thereof and substituting in lieu thereof
the following:
"(e) The consumption of alcoholic liquor by any person
under the age of twenty -one (21) years is forbidden."
SECTION That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this Ordi-
THREE: nance in pamphlet form.
SECTION That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here -
FOUR: with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
FIVE: after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
